Luxury Hotels spilling like beans all over Morocco 

Morocco continues to be hot destination for many travelers, and many new exciting luxury hotels and resorts are opening all around the country. Here is our selected list: 

 Mandarin Oriental  - Marrakech 2015

Resort that open this year of 2015 is located outside of Marrakech about 15 minues away from city center. It is set amidst of 20 hectares of gardens with the breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains in background. This resort features 54 private villas that have been decorated in Berber and Moorish style. Each villa has its own wall garden, swimming pool and hot tub. Yet, there are another nine extraordinary suites with rooftop plunge pool and panoramic views. Guests can enjoy variety of restaurants and bars serving local as well as international cusine. The Spa at Mandarine Oriental in Marrakech is expansive with private terraces, suites and design for outdoor treatments too. Part of the spa is fitness center, indoor heated pool, yoga studio and beauty salons.

The Baglioni Oriental  - Marrakech early 2016

Baglioni Oriental hotels were established in 1974 to create life experiences that merge into the culture of the destination and traditions. They spread all around Europe and Marrakech Baglioni Oriental will be the first resort for this group outside of Europe. 

Marrakech Baglioni hotel is scheduled to open in early 2016. Set outside of Marrakech, about 15 to 20 minutes drive into the city. The resort is built on 34 acres of parkland is "one of the  most imaginative resort ever conceived." There will be 80 rooms ranging in size, large spa and fitness club. There will be also residental slots open for people to purchase.

 Grace Hotel - Marrakech 2016

Grace hotels are located on Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini. This new hotel in Marrakech is scheduled to open in beginning of 2016 in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains about 30 minutes away from Marrakech. The hotel is set in 15 hectares of Moroccan countryside and designed with the traditional Berber clay houses. It will compromise of 18 suites and lofts, farm kitchen and fully service spa with hamman. Own farmstead with olive trees, vegetable gardens and horse stables will a luxury retreat in rural Morocco. 

Ritz Carlton Resort  - Marrakech 2016?

This resort is set in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains close to Lalla Takerkoust lake and nature reserve. It is about 20km away from the bustling streets of Marrakech. This hotel will encompass of 60 hotel suites, 20 hotel villaes of two, three and five bedrooms plus bars, restaurant and luxury spa

W hotel - Marrakech 2017

We hear that the W brand will open its door in Marrakesh in 2017. The hotel will be located between Medina (the old city) and Gueliz with easy acess to boutique and nightlife. Hotel will feature 148 guest rooms including one WOW suite. 

Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay - Tangier 2016

This hotel is scheduled to open in early of 2016 and is located about 45 minutes drive from Tangier. The hotel is design with many villas around courtyards, gardens and pools. Each villa property is equipped with its own private pool and some even have their own personal spa room for treatments and jacuzzi. 

Hotel Sahrai - Fez 2014

This 50-room hotel located in new city of Fez overlooking the old city is a chic and modern refuge of the busy Moroccan town. It is the newest five star hotel that open in November 2014. The hotel was design to offer comfort of the contemporary world yet infusing magic of the Arab world with beautiful patterns, arched pavilions and adorn with unsual artwork and Moroccan crafts. 

Hyatt Place -  Taghazout Bay 2015

This new Hyatt hotel in Africa opened its door in May 2015. THis 152-resort hotel is located on the coast of Atlantic Ocean about 30 minutes away from the metropolitan city of Agadir. There are many activities one can enjoy during his stay including 18-hole golf course, site surf camp, tennis club and many areas great for hiking, mountain biking and even hang gliding activities. Apart from beach, there are two outdoor swimming pools, 24 hour gym and ASENFO spa offering authentic hamman, hot tub and sauna. 

Ritz Carlton Resort - Rabat 2016?

Another hotel under constraction for Ritz Carlton chain is in Rabat. The 120 rooms and 15 swanky villages will be situated by the prestigious Royal Golf Dar Es Salam that is about 10 minutes away from Rabat city center. 

Fairmont La Marina  - Rabat/Sale 2019 

Luxury chain of Fairmont recently announced opening of a new Fairmont hotel chain in Rabat in 2019. It will be first Fairmont hotel for this Canadian based operator. Hotel will be located close to the main heritage sights of Kasbah Oudays and Hassan Tour offering great views of Atlantic Ocean and Bou Regreg River.

Desert Luxury Camp - Merzouga  in Erg Chebbi late 2013

This camp opened its door in fall of 2013 and is very unique in its concept. Because of the easy accesibility of Erg Chebbi desert dunes, luxury camps there are built right by the dirt road. Desert Luxury Camp took the idea of luxury camping to new levels. This camp is set deep inside the desert dunes and very harsh desert area where even standard camps are not being bult. Seclusion, being inside the desert dunes, yet offering amenities of our modern world such as complete bathrooms with flush toilet, sets this luxury camp apart from others.  Camp is spectacular and certainly worth of 2 nights stay. 

Ksar El Kabbaba  - Skoura Oasis 2013

This is not a typical hotel bur rather Kasbah style of building set in large area with beautiful garden. It is place that provides return to nature, quiet and easy going life, while enjoying luxurious oand comforts. This property features standard rooms to large suites including riad type of accommodation well fitted for large families. There is outdoor pool, spa and wellness center as well as restaurant with very delicious meals.
