Tour A 4 days/3 nights

29th December Marrakech -Ait Ben Haddou

Morning pick up from your Riad/hotel in Marrakech and travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass (2260M), the highest road pass in Morocco. Offering panoramic views of the snow capped High Atlas Mountains and their magnificent landscapes. Visit the extraordinary sight of the Atlas Mountains Kasbah Telouet, a rustic town that was once a principal stop on the main caravan route to Mali. Here visit an amazing relic of Moroccan history, the crumbling Kasbah that was once the palatial residence of extremely powerful Glaoui family. Then continue your trip to another perhaps the most impressive Kasbah of Morocco AitBenHaddou. Built on a hilltop, it has been featured in many movies such as the Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. The views from the upper heights of the Kasbah are awe inspiring and worth the climb through winding streets. Night in hotel by Ait Ben Haddou

30th December Ait Ben Haddou-  Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge 

Depart in the morning to Ouarzazate and travel via the road of Thousand Kasbahs taking us to the palm oasis of Skoura and the valley of Roses. After we reach the city of Boumalne Dades we take smaller road into the Dades Valley and Dades Gorge. We will enjoy stunning views of the strangely shaped rocks of Tamnalt Hills and travel the road of the Dades Gorge. Then after our visit and lunch there we return to Boumalne Dades and continue the rest of the Kasbah route to Todra Gorge. This whole area is spotted by many beautiful Kasbahs some of them in ruins, green oasis and villages typical of the region creating the heaven for any photographer. The Todra Gorge itself rises 300 meters high. Night by the gorge in auberge. 

31st December Todra Gorge - Rissani - Merzouga (Erg Chebbi sand dunes)

This morning we set for our desert adventure! We travel towards the garision town of Erfourd and Rissani where we pass the well known Sahara gate. From here we might start seeing the first sand dunes from the road. It is very impressive view that one will treasure long time. We reach local auberge by the sand dunes, where we have chance to change before heading onto our camel caravan adventure. Our Berber guide will lead us on the camels into the spectacle of the desert. Here take in the wonderful scenery and enjoy beautiful sun set. The camel ride is approximately 1 hour long. bivouac1

1st December Erg Chebbi - Sahro volcanic mountains  - Marrakech   (enquiry about ending the trip in Fes instead)

Waking up into the new day and new year in the middle of the ocean of sand will be always remembered. Here we saddle our camels again and return for the 2 hour journey back to our auberge in Merzouga. Here wealthy breakfast awaits us and also you have the opportunity to take shower. Then it will be time to return to Marrakech. We will take different route along he volcanic mountains of Sarhro with peculiar formatted peaks and Draa Valley oasis lined by palm groves. After reaching the city of Ouarzazate we set onto the High Atlas Mountains to traverse them back to Marrakech. Expected arrival to Marrakech around 18:30 - 19H

Tour B 3 days/2 nights

 30th December Marrakech - AitBenHaddou- Dades Gorge 

We collect you at your hotel/riad in Marrakech and start heading to the Atlas Mountains onto the Tizi n‘ Tichka pass the direct route towards Ouarzazate. It is spectacular and dramatic road presenting astonishing views of snow topped peaks of the Atlas and many Berber villages. Upon our descend we arrive to the cultural heritage site of Morocco the ksour of Ait BenHaddou. It was once an important stop on the caravan routes carrying salt from the Sahara and on return gold and ivory. It is the best preserved and well fortified Kasbah with high steep walls of dark red clay, impenetrable in this remote, hillside site. After our visit we pass the desert city of Ouarzazate and head along the Road of Thousand Kasbahs passing the Skoura Oasis and Rose Valley to Dades Gorge, where we spend the night. Night in Dades Gorge with breakfast and dinner

 31st December  Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Merzouga and Erg Chebbi sand dunes 

In the morning we enjoy the views of the Dades Valley and the Dades gorge cut out from the valley into the Hight Atlas. From here we travel to another gorge of Todra. The whole area is spotted by ruined Kasbahs, green oasis and typical villages creating paradise for any photographer. The Todra Gorge is the classic gorge with narrow high rock walls raising 300 meters high. After stretching our legs in the gorge we continue our travel to the desert of Morocco, the sunny sand dunes of Erg Chebbi by Merzouga. Here after arrival we meet with our guide that will take us into the desert on camel trek during spectacular sunset. Camel trek for about 2 hours and enjoy the solitude and guietness that comes from the desert till you reach your „oasis „ for the night.  Here then enjoy the New Years Eve party

     01st January Erg Chebbi - Alnif - Nekob - Marrakech  (possibility to finish the trip in Fez)

    Early start to your day and return on the camels during sunrise to Merzouga. Here breakfast will be prepared for you and opportunity to shower before our departure. Today will be long day of travel back to Marrakech. We will take different route, Southern along the volcanic mountains of Sarhro with peculiar formatted peaks and the oasis of the Draa lined by palm groves. Then after reaching Ouarzazate we cross the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech with expected return at about 6pm
